This pantomime was a second attempt!
After the covid-19 pandemic, DADS tried to produce Ali Baba first time around for 2022.
We had 2 months of rehearsals in late Autumn 2021 when the rates of covid increased in the local community increased and the government guidance led to us postponing the production.

This production raised money for Sands and the RD&E charity starfish appeal. The total raised will be announced soon

Fun Fact
Ilona English is known for her fabulous costumes over many years of DADS pantomimes. For Ali Baba doing the costumes in addition to writing and directing was even more impressive!

Being a magical show we had lots of special effects in Ali Baba. We had pyrotechnic bangs, sparks of flames, puffs of smoke and flashes.
Less magical, but equally spectacular was Andy coming through a window from a hoist!
