DADS, which stands for Dunsford Amateur Dramatics Society was formed in 1947 when a group of villagers got together after the war to raise money for the village. They put on their first pantomime in January 1948 and before long were attracting huge audiences from all around Devon.

The villagers of Dunsford and surrounding areas have continued to keep traditional pantomimes going, maintaining the same purpose of producing high quality shows by the community, for the community.

Generations later, we still perform in the same village hall today that they did in that very first pantomime, and hundreds of people have got involved on stage and off over the years. What better way to get through the damp and cold months of winter!
